Dr Luke Smith

Chiropractor and Functional Medicine Practitioner

Hi, I’m Dr. Luke Smith, a Chiropractor and Functional Medicine Practitioner at the Wellness Place. I graduated as a chiropractor from RMIT University in 2003. I’ve since practiced as a doctor of chiropractic in Melbourne, Ireland and now live and work in Perth. My role is to provide exceptional chiropractic care and mentor my patients on how they can achieve their health goals. I take pride in making the journey to health appear not only possible but simple.

I care about people’s health and spend a huge amount of time, and will continue to do so, studying how to achieve better health outcomes, but just as importantly how to effectively communicate what it takes to reach their health goals.

I enjoy a general practice with a variety of patients. I love seeing babies who don’t sleep and new parents, but I also enjoy helping people with disc injuries and headaches. My Functional Medicine work is really exciting to me and I see my niche with overachievers who are burning out with stress, fatigue, hormone and digestive problems, the predictable result of chronic stress.

Our clinic is a busy multidisciplinary practice. It caters to both wellness and musculoskeletal services. Our chiropractors are the gatekeepers, providing chiropractic care and lifestyle counselling. We service some of the most successful sports teams in WA and as such have a team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, podiatrists and medical doctors. Neurological scanning and x-ray facilities are also available on site. My vision is to create a hub of health in our community that will be known to be the place to go when you want true health care.
