Hi The Wellness Place Community,
I hope you are enjoying the start of Spring and the fresh new vibrance it
brings to our lives and communities. It is my favourite season!
During winter we focused on some of the stronger poses in the yoga series
and as a class took some great steps in advancing our practice and really
using yoga for all its intended: balance (of mind and body), strength and
flexibility. And thanks to our winter yogis for coming out on the cold nights
and icy mornings.
So what’s happening in Spring? Our 6 week program kicks off on Thursday
September 19th. Fantastic for those who have never tried yoga before, or
those wishing to deepen their knowledge and confidence and refine their
poses. The course is Asana Yoga based and focuses on balance, strength
and flexibility, along with breathing and meditation practices.
With no expectation for physical fitness, and absolutely no gymnastics, you
will learn gentle postural work, breathing exercises and simple meditation
