James’ health care career was sparked by a sporting life riddled with injury. He understands the importance of preparation, prevention and rehabilitation for performance, as well as the effects these injuries can have on day-to-day life. Playing rugby for over 25 years and in several countries exposed James to multiple approaches to training, preparation and injury management.
Originally from NSW, James came to Perth after completing his studies and has settled nicely, making the most of WA’s beaches, National Parks and camping sites. He can often be found jogging near the coast, doing some (slow) laps in the water, on the golf course hacking balls from the rough, or dollying gentle second serves on the tennis court.
James provides the full-spectrum of podiatry services. Treatment options provided:
Pain, injury, biomechanical assessment and management
Lower-limb rehabilitation and strength programs
Orthotics prescription
Running assessment
General skin and nail treatments
Nail surgery
Dry needling
Joint mobilisation techniques
Discussing all-things performance footwear – James thrives on client opinions regarding footwear experiences and preferences.
James believes that feet are crucial to performance, whether it’s completing a pain-free day at work, performing a 3km morning walk or running a marathon. He understands the important connection between the feet and the rest of the body and how keeping pain-free lower limbs is essential to quality of life.
